Whew! Fall is over, winter is here!!

Hello Everyone!
It has been a solid two months since our (re)introductory blog post, announcing we'd work for food and asking for prayers and opportunities in our time of need.
Thought two months was a nice, awkward pause before filling you in on our news.  Things have turned out wonderfully for us!  God has really blessed us and we are cozily settled in for a long winter's night in a 3 bedroom apartment in New Castle, CO.  Andy has supported ministry work at the local homeless shelter, as well as part time photography work each week.  We have remained "local" and so did not have to give up our lovely fellowship times and relationships in the area.  We really feel contented, covered and cared for...
As for Uganda, it seems best to everyone that a later trip be made- perhaps June 2011?  In the meantime, we are enjoying a visit from my brother and his family from Japan, considering learning Indonesian (in an effort to keep involved with our friends and any work the Lord may open up there for us in the future), and just generally delighting in the Lord and the life He gives us each day.
Thank you to all who prayed and supported us during this transition.  I suppose, although we have settled into some sort of a routine finally, we are still to be "on our toes" and not to get lazy in our new, comfortable position.  May we and all who desire to follow God keep listening ears, perceptive hearts and open eyes to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying and doing.
Love to each and every one of you,

Andy, Holly, Judah, Rosie and baby girl (due in 2 1/12 months) :)

Got Our Walking Shoes On!

It's that time again!  The Womacks are moving... We have lived in a beautiful,  two bedroom Victorian home in downtown Glenwood Springs for the past year.  God truly has blessed us with this wonderful living arrangement!  Last winter we were property managers for some amazing friends who left the area for 6 months.  We arranged a swap-out with them whereby they gave us a rental discount and we managed their properties.  It worked out great, but they've already returned (about 5 months ago!), yet we have continued to pay rent at a discount.  Since their return, we have been trying to help the owners (our dear friends) sell the house.
Well, the house did not sell, so because we are going into winter and no longer managing properties for our friends, we felt it best that they get the full, rental price for this house.  Praise God, we found a full price renter!

We found out we were moving last Monday, and 5 days later we are neck-deep in boxes. We do not know where to go yet!  Holly's parents have a house on Midland Avenue in Glenwood Springs waiting to be rented, so we will be "staging" out of that house by this Friday evening until we make an official plan of action (hopefully within a week's time).

Our general plan is to:

1: Continue asking God for guidance and wisdom, as we pray, pray, pray!

2: Inform friends and family of our changes, and ask them to pray, pray, pray for guidance and wisdom about our changing circumstances!

3: Find good work somewhere in the Roaring Fork Valley.

4: Find appropriate housing and settle in before the new baby girl is born.  (Note the photo below- this is her hand giving the thumbs up of approval as we walk on this new trail...)

5: Fundraise for a trip to Uganda in January to visit an awesome work that is helping orphans and planting churches!

6: Stay connected to the local Feed My Sheep Ministry and River Churches Network, as well as the Indonesian project our friends from YWAM continue to tread out.

7: Thank God for His provision and faithfulness!!!

Please walk with us in the new chapter of our lives.  We need your prayers, counsel, support, and good ideas to help propel us in the direction God has for us next!

I, (Andy), am looking for work!  I am ready to do anything it takes to support my family. My primary training is in being a photographer/videographer.  However, in this small town and hard economy I am ready to rake your lawn!  I have experience in Property Management and have remodeled a few of my own places.

An ideal situation would provide for our single family income and leave enough time to play with my kids, volunteer at Feed My Sheep, and stay in fellowship with God's people!  My only real nonnegotiable as we move forward is to keep the Sabbath day, which means I "cease from ordinary work" from Friday evening until Saturday evening each week.
